Just wondering how long it took for everyone to heal and start losing after surgery. And for the gas pains to subside.

Hi, gas pains a couple of days. Healing was pretty quick. I gained a few pounds right after the surgury but lost it all  and more within a few days og being home.

Hi, I'm feeling terrific, no lies! My hospital stay was good, rested quite a bit, did my laps as suggested by the nurses. Probably the thing I had to concentrate most on was the drinking. Not difficult like some say, just taking the sips every 15 minutes. My surgery was May 3rd a Tuesday and I was out on the Thursday.

One other thing, my surgeon used steri-strips rather than sutures or staples to close the opening. I found that really interesting, amazed they held so well as they look just like small band-aids. Go figure!

Some of the surgeons use glue to hold the incisions shut, and the steri-strips reinforce the glue. My surgeon used the glue method, and it worked perfectly.

Hey,

My surgery was at 2, and I was discharged about 3 the next day.  I've been feeling close to normal the last few days- the pain is mostly gone.I find more than anything I'm just super tired!

Good luck on Monday!

I had gas pains for about a day and a half. It took me 2 weeks to be fully mobile, and about a month to feel back to myself again.

The losing will happen - don't sweat it. I saw good movement on the scale about 1 week after coming home from the hospital.

Just make sure you are drinking lots, eating your protein, and following the plan your doc gave you.
