What to expect at a HRRH pre-op appointment
I have my pre-op appointment on Tuesday and was just wondering what to expect. TIA and have a great long weekend everyone. On a side note I have almost perfected an opti pina colada just in time to hang out with the fam this weekend :)
Referral-Feb/15, Orientation HRRH-May 29/15, Dr. Hagen-Dec. 14/15, Sleep study-Dec. 16/15, Trio app't-Feb. 2/16, Follow-up SW & RD-Mar.14/16, Dr. Glazer-Mar. 30/16, Dr. Hagen - May 3/16, Surgery - June 6/16
A lot of waiting. Bring a book or something.
I had mine last Monday, showed up at 1045ish for an 1130 appt, got in to see the nurse at 1230, had to have an ecg becuase Glazier's office had not forwarded the one they did at that appt, bloodwork by 130,then sat to see the anesthesia Dr and was out by 2.
Good luck!
I was there on Wednesday morning, in and out in an hour and a half. Saw the nurse, she checked my vitals, my bag of meds/vitamins and showed me what elevator to take when I go on Wednesday. Then had blood taken- only 4 vials this time, lol- and lastly spoke with the anesthesiologist for 5 minutes. You're almost there!
Everything goes pretty quick if they are not too busy. They are doing pre op for all patients not only bariatric. I assume you have waited a year and a half for this so this is pretty much the last of the appointment before actual surgery. Goodluck. And I thought Dr glazer office had the worst wait time.
