Flavouring opti

Good morning everyone

Quick question, I was told that I could flavour the opti with the same stuff used to flavour icing. Just the basic stuff you can buy at any grocery store. I was wondering if anyone else has used it. Thanks!

I personally didn't like the taste of flavour extracts in my opti (I tried coconut and chocolate), so whatever you try I recommend making small batches to taste test the different combinations to see if you like them :)

My personal favourite was SF red raspberry torani in my vanilla opti. I liked the chocolate plain.

I also tried extracts and the only one I liked a little was mint in with the chocolate.

I much preferred a spoonful of instant decaf in either flavour of Opti with at least 500ml of water and lots of ice. I liked the Starbucks SF cinnamon dolce syrup with instant decaf in the vanilla. Iced lattes and iced mochas for the Opti phase made it much more pleasant.

Good luck!

Tammy :)

I'm on Opti right now - day 6! I thought I was prepared and bought SF Toriani syrup's, flavour extracts (5 different ones), SF Kool-aid liquid, Crystal light, etc and to be honest I didn't like any of them in my Opti. I will say it gets better. Day 1 - first sip I thought "this isn't too bad I can do this no problem" but then by my second sip I couldn't get it down.

Long story short what I've found that works for me is about 400-450ml of water in my magic bullet with about 5-6 ice cubes blended well. Then I have my glass of water right beside me. I plug my nose and chug my Opti and take water after each chug. It's not that its a terrible taste I just prefer not to taste it. I drink it quick so the ice doesn't melt.

It honestly fills me up and once I got in ketosis I wasn't physically hungry anymore, I would say that happened around day 4. I can only get in 3 shakes a day and the clinic said this was ok. I also haven't had any veggies (HRRH allows up to 2 cups of certain veggies a day).

Something else I learned was to wash out my blender cup right away - its turns hard and grainy glue-like otherwise, lol

Good luck!

The only one I used was sf vanilla torani in vanilla opti blended with lots of ice in bullet. Just ice blended with chocolate. Check out the Low carb grocers. Sometimes Winner's has sf.  Or you can buy sf vanilla at Starbucks

I haven't had any issues with the chocolate, I don't mind the way it tastes.  Not a huge fan of the vanilla, I have vanilla Bean SF syrup and put a little cinnamon in it. It's not as bad as I expected! I do look forward to my 2 cups of veggies ?
