Good morning!! ?

Today we are off to my grandfather's 90th birthday party. They are having an open house so we will drop by for a visit. Other than that it should be a quiet day.

Tomorrow I'm having a follow-up with my family doc about my meds and seeing if we can find a better approach. I'm still tired most days and napping in the afternoon. It makes it very difficult to be productive or to get in my exercise.

Breakfast - egg, yogurt

Snack - carrots and pb

Lunch - zucchini lasagna

Snack - pepperette, pudding

Snack - chicken, pickles

His health is generally good. He had a bad stroke many years ago, but made a surprising recovery. He and my grandmother  still live at home together.

Theres a natural weed killer with vinegar dish soap and salt ? 2 cups vinegar and 1 tablespoon I believe it is of both the salt and soap.  it used it in my driveway last summer. :) I used dawn as that's what i use for dishes. Lol

The problem is it is one of these creeping things that have a large underground root. It comes up in right against and under the spread of the plants I want to keep. I am afraid the plants would be killed.

Oh I hate it when that happens.  Only thing to do is to dig it up as much as possible.  I find they are easier to remove after it rains, let it dry a little and they seem to remove easier.  I have heard of people using a torch to burn the root so it dies, that's another option.  Let us know what you do. Honestly, when this happens to me I just pull as much of the root as I can then hope it does not grow back :0)

I just never seem to get all of it and then it is back in a few weeks. I have been fighting it for the last couple of years. Maybe I will try burning it

Ahh yes they could I'd suspect. I didn't have that worry with my driveway.

I fear digging it out might be the best bet then.
