I start opti on Monday and I'm stressing out a little about it. I feel like I have to eat all my favorite foods in the next 3 days. Please tell me I'm not the only one who feels/felt like this!

I start opti on Monday as well and have definitely had those moments too, for both good and bad things. I'm just trying to do it in moderation. Good luck!

Many people have food funerals. Try not to think you will never have favourite food again. You will just feel deprived.Initially you will want to focus on making the most of your honeymoon period when you will lose the most weight. Try to stick to plan and you will be successful

Once you are  few years out you will be able to have the odd treat without gaining. Most of use stay away from trigger foods but otherwise there is life after surgery.

You are not the only one! Many of us had food funerals. Soon you wont care. If someone said to you post op you won't be hungery you wouldn't believe. When I woke up I could not care if I ate at all. That lasted for 6 months. Found the first 3 days the hardest. Just drink lots of water. I started on Thanksgiving and had to cook the turkey. Got the food on the table then went for a walk. After 4 days  didnt miss eating. Everyone is different. But YOU can do it.

Go and enjoy a nice dinner with the family see you on the bench.

Good luck Leslie

YUP...we've all been there....done that!!! TOTALLY NORMAL !!!!

In a "perfect "world we would never eat a bad food choice again in our lives...........the truth and reality is ...the world isn't perfect nor are we .....you will likely at some point down the road have a bite or taste (hopefully not much more) of all those forbidden things again.  We all just have to be sooo SUPER MINDFUL to use what we have learned, respect what we worked so hard for.... and not to let temptation and old habits grab  hold of us again because it can and does happen very easily !!

Hi There

I start Opti on Wednesday. Surgery is June 01. I am not stressing about foods I will miss.

Sometime after I am all healed up and I  IF I still enjoy those foods..like Lobster and steak and shrimp etc.

I will have them again. I am trying to keep my food intake on the lighter side.

Good luck ladies.

Just my 2 cents..
