Happy Friday everyone, we made it!  Can you believe the nice weather the past few days?  Sick today with a bad cold so I am at home.  Have not had a bad one like this in a really long time.  Had to skip yoga and singing this week, which sucked, but what can you do when your body is just not up for it?

Today will be lots of naps, soups, garlic, protein shakes, vitamins, and liquids.  Going to try to organize stuff around the house when I get a bit of energy, careful not to overdo it.  I got rid of three enormous bags of my old larger clothing about a month ago, so I finally started that project.  It felt good afterwards, now I have more room for the stuff that does fit.

Hope you feel better soon Zizzler.  We had a big thunderstorm here last night, so not a lot of sleep.

These past weeks have been hard.  Someone very special to me passed away, but  she had been on end of life care for a few weeks.  Today is the visitation and tomorrow the funeral.  This person loving guided me in the right direction in life.  It will always amaze me how something so immense as selflessness could be contained in her tiny frame (4'10" at her tallest).

So I have had coffee so far, and later sashimi with a friend before the visitation, then after that I haven't go a clue but I'm not going to let it stress me.

Good morning all. Hope you kick the cold Zizzler. I am sore from biking yesterday. Used different muscles I guess. Did meditation at my women's group last night. Reminded I need to do it more often.

Going out to dinner tonight. Tried to put in the calories for what I will eat but you never know how many more they sneak in. Home later.

Hey Pat, what kind of meditation do you do?  I do a gradual body relaxation guided meditation regularly with breathing exercises.  Yoga I also find to be a full body meditation, very soothing.

I took a program at Women's College Hospital on meditation. I was given a set of 4 cd's. One is the full body scan which I did Thursday night. Another is a yoga one. I find the full body scan the most relaxing. I find I can sometimes just focus on my breathing to calm down

Sounds awesome Pat, I too find the body scan super relaxing, just getting in touch with your breath can really help in a stressful situation.

Morning all. Hope you feel better Z. I'm finally getting rid of this nasty cold i caught mid April. Part my fault because i did't rest enough at my sickest. I'm of today at 2pm, maybe i'll pass through bulk barn and grab some protein powder. I have the $3 coupon, and will grab some steel cut oats too.

I had fun last night. Went dancing and enjoyed myself.
