How long until they call me

Hello , finished all my appointments on Monday.

I was told I'd be at rounds today for approval. Was also told they would call me , not to call them. 

How long is it before they call?

Is there any flexibility I surgery dates.

My son is getting married on June 4th and would really not like to be on opti at the time.  Saw a number of people on the site who were given dates within two to three weeks , I was not expecting that?

Good job getting through all your appointments! Are you at TWH? For me, I got a call for my surgeon's appointment about 2 1/2 weeks after being put in rounds, and my surgeon's appointment was 2 months after. Had my appointment April 1st, my surgery is June 13th.

I don't think you have to worry about being on opti during your son's wedding - there's still some time to wait.

Thanks for your reply. I am at TWH . I just about had a heart attack when I read two very quick dates on the sites. Even though I'd like to get this journey started when reality hits, really wanting to enjoy the wedding as well!

I saw those too- I think they were through Humber.

It is about 2-3 weeks. They will call you for surgeon appoitment. When I went through they gave me a few options to choose. My appointment was earlier in the day. Said as day went by the spots fill. Keep in mind that at twh the surgeon you see pre-op is not necessarily the one that does your surgery. You get whoever is operating on your day.

I'm so excited, I got a call this morning I have a surgeons appointment on July 15th at 1 pm. I thought I might  cry out of fear when they called but in actuality ( after I hung up) I cried out of relief.

I've been approved in a previous appointment for VSG due to arthritis will that make a difference as to who I get for a doctor.

Hi there ! I met with the surgeon last week and got a surgery date almost 4 months away August 26th , I'm going thought twh as well . Good luck :)

I had my last appointment 5/11/16 and was called 5/13/16 and given meet the surgeon appointment for 7/22/16. I think you will be safe and Opti free for you to enjoy your Son's wedding. Enjoy.
