What are you eating/doing today ( Tuesday)

RNY  7 Years  1  month post op 

Morning 

Not going to be a good eating day today but this is what it will be. I can handle the calories, but the carbs will  make  me feel bloated.   Why do I do it then, right?  I could easily ditch the bun at dinner.   We'll see as the day unfolds.  I am out for breakfast,  lunch  and dinner.   I know they are having sausage and potato salad for dinner.  Not a fan of potato salad but I do love hot and spicy foods.

EATS 

B -  toasted western sandwich.   1/2 with bread and 1/2 just the guts

 

L -  4 large grilled shrimp over 1.5 cups of curried quinoa salad

 

D -  Hot Italian sausage on a bun

 

S -  almond biscotti with a decaf coffee 

     Oikos greek cherry when I get home with a few pills

 

MYFITNESSPAL  totals for the above menu are :  Calories  -  1,430,  Carbs  -   154 ,  Protein  -  82

 

All water and vits

Ok,  this is one of the reasons I still read OH.  Just finished reading some posts.   I know better than to eat what I have listed.   Too many simple carbs will set me up for bloat and hunger.

 

New menu:

B  -  scrambled eggs and bacon ,  no toast

l  -  same but will cut the salad in half.

D -  no bun.  Will eat 1.5  sausages if not satiated after 1.  Pickles and mustard on the side.

S -  35 calorie dessert yogurt when I get home

      Carnation light hot chocolate mixed with decaf  and a squirt of light whip topping 

 

MYFITNESSPAL totals :   Calories  -  1,101,  Carbs  -  54,  Protein  -  83

I feel better already.

Good morning everyone.  Birdiegirl I thnks its really cool that you re-worked your menu, the revised one looks much lower in carbs. Sick today with a bad cold so my eats may be a little off or light, will be sleeping most of the day. Lots of liquids and vitamin c regularly.

20 months post op

b - chocolate gnc lean shake

s - broth with fresh garlic and lemon

l - same as snack, might add a local free run egg to the soup

s - dill pickle pumpkin seeds in shell if I get hungry

d - something easy, probably green beans and beef chili fromt he freezer

s - hot tea with sucralose

All water and vitamins.  have a nice day everyone.

Good morning! My days are starting to look the same! Gotta come up with some new ideas. 

B - egg salad on 2 Melba toast

S - 2 oz meaty spag sauce 

L - tuna on 2 Melba toast

D - cheese burger no bun, pickle and mustard 

S - a few slices deli turkey

cal 800, carbs 24, protein 84 

 

Over 100 lbs lost! and 13 lbs below goal weight!

Good morning!!

Off to finally get my snow tires switched. My SO has been bugging me for a while. Thankfully I don't drive much these days.

Then this afternoon I will continue painting and maybe go buy more wall paint to finish things off. Can't wait to be able to hang out pictures in the hall.

Breakfast - egg, yogurt 

Snack - protein bar

Lunch - chicken sausage, veggies

Snack - carrots, pb

Snack - turkey, cheese

Dinner - chili

Snack - protein cake, pudding

All water and vits.

Good morning all. Going for a pain infusion tonight. Hope this one works better than the last one. Also talking to the doc about alternative pain meds. Since we will not be home until about 7:00pm my DH wants to get Swiss Chalet. Not my favourite but will go along with it. I usually find it too greasy.

s apple

s breton crackers, cheese

cal 931, carb 84, prot 100

Most of my carbs are either fruit or legumes so I am not going to stress over it.

Afternoon all. Been waking up later and feel a bit better. Z, hope you feel better. I have been battling this cold since mid April, it  seems i'm getting one after another and it's draining me out, oh well. Will be going out shortly to get an oil change and do some groceries, then Zumba later on. 

2 1/2 yrs post op

B - 3.5 oz liver and some onions and jalapeños (leftovers from last night)

L - 2oz pork ribs, 1/2 cup green beans

S - 2 boiled eggs

D - 3oz smoked pork chop (didn't make this last night, had liver instead), 1/2 cup green beans

S - mint quest bar

Calories: 863, carbs 38, protein 85, fat 48
