Right now I would say that I am sensitive/empathic.  Someone that I care for very deeply is receiving end of life care.  This person is of advanced years and it is to be expected after a full life, but I can't bare the thought of them being in pain and it tears me up that they are suffering.  I would gladly take their pain so that they could pass peacefully.  I think if you love, care, nurture then you must be a sensitive and empathic being.

Cc, so sorry to hear about your situation.  Even when someone has lived a full life it is still so hard, especially when, as you say, they are in pain.  You have always seemed to me to be a very sensitive and empathic person Cc.  The person you are describing is lucky to have you in their life regardless of how long they have left, it is a blessing.  Whenever I think of a loved one dying I get so sad and scared.  The only thing that seems to ease this fear is getting in contact with them, letting them know I care while they are alive.
