How do you know if you`ll be sent for a sleep apnea test? or does everyone go? And why do they need it done?.... I don`t think I snore... I could be wrong...just wondering :)

The sleep study is not only for people that snore.  It is more complicated than that - it can be life threatening if not treated properly.  You might want to educate yourself and ready on it.

Very rude - a question was asked and if you aren't prepared to help answer it then don't say anything at all!

Wow, I sure didn't read anything rude.  That poster was right.  It's more complicated and it's good to read up on it.

Nope it was rude- I have sleep apnea and know about it and offered alittle knowledge on it instead of slamming the person asking the question by implying they don't know what they are talking about because they asked a question about snoring.

Its def good to read up on but when someone asks a question on here it because they are curious and would like to hear from one of us- if you can't help them out then just move on.

And that's my opinion

Whoa, I think you manage to cause a ruckus on most of your posts with your interpretations and choice of words.

Check back on your posting history.   I remember you really getting into it with KarenM when you first appeared on OH.  It was ridiculous.

I appreciate your hormones are raging at the moment due to rapid weight loss on opti.  Saying this, you appear to be emotionally charged in general.  Might be an idea to check some of that indignation at the door.

Assume the vast majority of posters are trying to help and interpret their words kindly rather then part of a vast conspiracy of judgemental opinions.

Did you notice the poster was taken back by the same comment I found as rude? She also felt the sting of the response she got when she asked a question. Whether you think it was rude or not- she did... And I happened to also.

I  know for a fact there have been many many others who have had words with KarenM before I came aboard - and I'm causing a ruckus ?

So you didn't agree with my opinion- who cares.

You don't think the response she got was rude and do I care- no I don't...and why? Because that's your opinion not mine.

I don`t mean to be rude, but educating myself is why I asked the question. I  was hoping someone here could help me understand.

Ignore the response you got- very rude and uncalled for!

I snored very loudly and stopped breathing at night- my husband noticed and made an app right away with my family dr, she then sent referral to a sleep centre and they took it from there. I am glad I did as my results were horrible.. If you snore , exhausted a lot, feeling foggy or can fall asleep anywhere then u might want to get tested.

Good luck ;)

Thank you :) I`m new to all this and this website, so the response kinda stung a bit. But everyone else has been really friendly and helpful, so I bru**** off.

I`m told I only snore on my back and if I`ve been drinking, but I`m not tired nor can I fall asleep anywhere, although sometimes I wish I could! From what I`ve read online, I don`t have any symptoms of it. But, if they send me, I guess its better safe then sorry! I just wanted to know if I should be prepared to go or go ahead of time, or if I`d even go at all, comparatively to others processes. This has been an insanely long process for me, so I`m hoping to bypass the sleep test to save some time, but it doesn`t look like its going to go that way. I guess what it all comes down to, is I`m insanely uncomfortable in my own skin right now, and I want my new life to start.

Thanks so much for your answer and support!
