I was sick with worry that the extra 150 pounds I was carrying would kill me. It's not as if my fat-filled skin was attractive or good for me.

I fight badgers with spoons.

I see in your timeline that you have not yet met with the Psychologist. This is important to discuss with him. This is major surgery. Skin can be a big issue depending how and  where you lose it. I as generally all over. I decided just to do TT, but then had the need to continue. Have completed a posterior and butt lift. masteoplexy, brachioplasty, revision to TT, spiral thigh lift. Just had breast augmentation done yesterday as felt the girls still need some fullness. Schedule for medial thigh lift end of the month. Could have bought myself a real expensive car.

Sorry for the spelling. Losing 50 lbs on opti? that would take time. No guarantee how fast it would come off. I think I lost 19 lbs in two weeks others more others less. Think we can do the opti pre op as we had the surgery as a goal. Once you go back to eating food the weight would come back on. As with all the diets we have tried and committed to over the years.

I tried so many diets over the years. Lost upto 80 lbs but then it sneaks back on before you no it. I am over 4 yrs no. No regreats at all. Dealing with low ferritin. But I'll deal with it.

Emoitions are completely normal. Surgery is a huge step. My goals for surgery had nothing to do about skin it was getting healthy and being able to wear boots than came to my knees! I left the hospital without bp meds. By 6 months off cpap, cholesterol normal and down 100 lbs. Concentrate on new health and you can do this

While I think it's normal to be a bit upset about the fact that you will likely have a decent amount of loose skin, it shouldn't be enough to deter you from surgery. If something like that is enough to deter you, then you may want to talk to a therapist about your mindset and post surgery plans.

Loose skin is not the end of the world. You can also work hard and try your best to save money for plastic surgery if you are interested in it. As Kat said, the loose skin is much better than having skin filled with fat.

It doesn't matter how you lose the weight, the skin will be there regardless.

Thankyou I appreciate your advice/comments etc.

I was having an extra hard day yesterday, its getting so real now and I am very emotional. I do know I cant do it on my own-if I could I wouldn't be where I am today.
