Any support groups in Scarborough?

I really would like to join a support group but would like to find something closer to me then TWH. Does anyone have a group set up? I am in process for RNY. I do not have a surgery date yet. Looking for others who can relate. Any info helps. Thanks

Hi there, heard there is support group in Scarborough as I was looking before but I never see anyone post when the meetings are and where.. There is couple of us trying to set one up in east Scarborough.. I am in Scarborough/Pickering area I just had my surgery at Humber on April 11. 

Look for Jackie Stewart on fb. She admin a Durham Bariaric support group. They meet I think in Pickering on a monthly basis

Maybe you guys could start your own? I live in Oshawa and we have one- We meet Tuesdays one week and Thursdays the next. 1 week in Oshawa and the other in Whitby.  I went to my first last Thursday- so great to meet a bunch of great ladies who are going through  or have gone through the same thing.

We used to meet at the Starbucks at Kennedy Commons every Thursday evening, however the group sort of fell apart.  Sorry...its been a struggle to put one together.  Good luck!
