All depends on what type of work that you do. I can't imagine being off 8 weeks unless you lift as part of your job. Many go back after a week or two and some take as much time as they can so they can get into a routine before going back to work.
I had 6 weeks off and my time was full with napping from all the fatigue and trying to get all my food and water in. Plus, I was told to walk as much as I could, so that filled the time a lot.
To fill the time, you could pick up a hobby or start practicing some healthy recipes for later on. Cooking can definitely be time consuming.
I am so happy to hear that you are feeling great. I would recommend you taking the full time off to heal.
Give your body time, take lots of naps and enjoy this beautiful weather and go out for walks.
You may not be able to take this much time off so enjoy it while you can...providing you are getting paid for it.
Go to value village and buy some new summer clothes and jus****ch stupid tv lol

I came home from the hospital on a Friday and was at my office on Monday for a half a day. I work for myself so I would work a few hours every day but they are right about getting your fluids in-that is a fulltime job in itself. If your job is physical at all I wouldn't recommend going back to work right away. If it is a desk job maybe you can go back half days to start? Depends on how that affects you financially. It is great that you are feeling good. I know I felt good right after surgery and was out shopping the day after I got home at Costco. I had zero complications and that makes a big difference too. Some aren't as lucky.
Good luck

I have an office job and work from both my home office and my work office.
I took 2 weeks off and then worked 2 solid weeks from home.
It worked well for me.

I was off for 2 weeks and then back to work ... I have an office job so it wasn't too bad going back to work and they were very accommodating if I needed to leave early if I was tired, etc., but I had no issues once I started back at work.

Thanks for the replies, my mind is ready to go back to work but not my body!! It's just hard because I am workaholic only took 6 days off in 8 years. I work in retail there is lots of twisting bending and heavy lifting. It's just getting use to having the time to myself.
