one more wee****il my next appointment!
I saw my neuro last week, he said I've lost some vision forever.... he said my medical problem is no better now, but not any worse (at the moment) since having two major surgeries since December 17th. he's decided to wait until I see what's happening with my bypass surgery before sending me for a shunt(again). I'm happy he's ok with waiting because a shunt isn't something I want(they fail a lot) brain surgery again isn't something I want to have and have so many issues. so hopefully my condition stays how it is and doesn't get worse so I don't need an emergency shunt.
i can't wait to see if weight loss sets me in remission, I I need to loose apparently 30% of my body fat for me to be in "remission" so let's pray it works!
i have done all my homework and am excited to have my first appointment besides the orientation class. next Monday I go to see the nurse. what happens at this appointment?
will they just go over history and make sure I'm able to do the program? the papers said this meeting could take 2 hours? feels very long lol
The nurse re-explained the procedure(s) and risks. She also went over all the tests and medical history and asked a lot of questions. I think the nurse tries to anticipate if you require any additional testing before you proceed further, especially to the surgeon. Also a great chance to ask questions, the nurse I saw was really reassuring and very detailed in her explanations. She'll also take your measurements for height and weight.
