It's done...... And not so bad
After 20 months and a half a dozen obstacles along the way and hard work and doing the right things(life changes/Opti)it's done. This morning at Humber under the care of the one and only Dr Starr at 8am I had my RNY.
After never being in a hospital ever the nerves where high at 6am when I rolled it. Each step of the way I was told it's ok to be nervous and was continually told it will be ok and that not to worry. Jumped onto the operating table at 8am within minutes it was nap time and viola at 10:25 I was up and in recovery.
Maybe an hour of foggyness , some head bobbing naps and by 11:30 I was in room. ( on a side note the facilities at Humber are insane, typing this now while washing free tv on my mall mounted lcd tv)
The pain is not that bad , if I had to describe it I would say it feels like I did 500 crunches last night , I'm sore but not in pain
The book of my journey and life isn't even half way done yet so I know there is some ways to go. I have been a long time lurker and rare poster for over 2 years special thanks to everyone who has posted here over the years
If your on the fence about this surgery because of the procedure itself and pain like I was don't be, it's not that bad at all
Gotta go my lemon jello just got here and after 3 weeks of opti I'm gonna savour every ML
Good luck
