Machines for food prep
Kitchen Scale --YES...definitely (that's a really good one)
measuring cups and spoons a good steamer basket for vegetables
I only really used my Magic Bullet for mixing Opti with ice in stage 1
Little storage containers and lots of plastic wrap for left over
I use my CROC pot at least 3 times a week so I always have tender yummy meat on hand...that's all I can think of

I bought this streamlined flat scale https://www.amazon.ca/Ozeri-Professional-Digital-Kitchen-Nutrition/dp/B002UEZ2FC/ref=sr_1_9?s=kitchen&ie=UTF8&qid=1460270907&sr=1-9&keywords=ozeri+stainless+kitchen+scale I have a small kitchen - so didn't want anything that would take up counter space.
I already had an immersion blender - great for soups! If you make homemade soup / chili etc. you may want to try storing them in small freezer bags so they lay flat in your freezer - takes up a lot less space than putting them in little containers.
