RNY  6 Years 11 Months Post Op

Morning

Day one of the tournament.  Feeling really punky today so not much partying for me.  Will come home and go to bed shortly after golf and a quick glass of water with my fellow competitors

 

ZIZZLER - I have been thinking of you.  How about you begin this thread every morning?  I think it might give you early morning focus and if you are responsible for beginning and maintaining daily, iit may help you with eating.  I know it has helped me immensely.  Just let me know and I will wait for posting.  I would be happy to turn it over to you.  If you said I will have it posted by 7A.M. for example then I will just wait for your lead.

STEPS - 10,344

EATS

B - 2 large mugs of coffee

     Premier protein blended with ice and 3 inches of banana

 

L - 1 slice of rye toasted with slice of ham, cheddar and 1 fried egg into sandwich

 

D - 2 slices of thin crust pizza

 

S - 1 cup - approx. - of thai chicken salad

 

S - Greek Yogurt

     navel orange

 

MYFITNESSPAL totals for the above menu are:  Calories - 1,689,  Carbs - 159 Grams,  Protein - 107 Grams,  Fiber - 22 Grams

 

All water - tea and all vits

Good morning everyone.  Birdiegirl thank you for thinking of me, I appreciate it :0).  I would be happy to share the posting with you and I think it would be helpful.  I am usually not able to post until 7:30 or so, my normal work hours are 8-4 and I almost always post it on the bus on the way to work.  The odd time I could do it sooner if I have to come in earlier or am up earlier.  Could we say that if I do not post by 730 then you will go ahead and start the post? Or would that be too late for you? 

I am sick today which I am sure is my body's way of forcing me to take care of myself.  I have a therapist appointment this morning but other than that I will be in bed, I am exhausted beyond words.  If I feel up to it this evening I will do hot yin yoga and/or go to singing, we shall see.  Plan to feed myself well to help my body heal.  If I am not hungry at all I will have a protein shake as a replacement for a meal.

19 months post op

b - gnc protein shake - banana

s - 1 cup sensato low carb high fibre hot cereal with plain whey protein powder added.  Going to add other lc stuff to it to use it up but wont be buying it again.  It tastes bad on its own and is too expensive to boot, I can make similar for way cheaper at home.

l - 4-5 meatballs in tomato sauce and mozza with yellow wax beans.  I am liking this combo.

s - more pumped up sensato low carb cereal, keep it simple :0)

d - same as lunch

s - hot tea with sucralose added

All water and vits.  Have a nice day everyone. Sorry I am such a downer lately.

Ziz I'm sorry to hear you are struggling. You need to be kinder to yourself. Can I ask what you are studying for?  I take it you need a certain mark to pass. When you study do you just reread your notes?  I found if I wrote things down I could remember more. Just a thought. Also have you had your iron checked?  Low iron can cause memory problems. I truly hope you start feeling better soon. It sucks when people get in a slump like this. Take care.

Thank you Monica, it is French training I keep failing.  Very frustrating, I write everything down too, it really does help.  I had my iron checked 3 weeks ago and it was ok.  I just found out they think I have a tumor on my adrenal glands and that I will most likely need surgery to remove it.  When it rains it pours eh?

Seriously though I'm sorry to hear you are going through health issues. You've had your fair share of crap going on. I'm sure everything will be fine though. Think positive!  Keep us posted and have a nice weekend!

Great Zizzler.  The WAYE thread is over to you.  Take responsibility for it - get up early enough to plan and organize your eating day.  I think you might find this really works for you and truly helps.

Morning all. I'm so tired, couldn't sleep and the weather doesn't help. Mt knee hurts, my body hurts, I'm just a mess. Good luck in the tournament Barb and Z, hang in there. It sucks sometime when you study hard and don't get the results. Just take it one day at a time.

My eats have been really good this week, protein forward. Problem is now i don't know if i'm hungry because my stomach feels upset, full, acidy at the same time. Been eating 3-4 times a day. These pouches are pains sometimes, difficult to read. Four more weeks left for the school year to end. Can't wait.

2yrs post-op

B - 2 boiled eggs, coffee 5%

S - 2 slices turkey

L - 3oz shrimp, 1/4 cup cucumbers

S - ?

D - 3oz sausage

?

Sorry you are not feeling well Barb. Hope it does not effect your golf. It is a really crappy rainy day here. Forgot to ask my DH what he was making for dinner so will have to add it later. All I know is it will not be barbecued.

Out tonight to my ladies meeting. I was suppose to do meditation for them tonight but we need the time to plan some events. I am fine with this because last year our daffodil tea involved me running around with my head cut off running everything in the kitchen. I am adamant we have more people this year or do not run it.

Yesterday I ate some sugar free candies. I paid for my error. At least I now know if I want a complete clean out although violently I can eat this crap.
