Meeting groups
Hey - I'm pre-op but have been approved for surgery by Dr. Glazer just today! I've passed my other appt's (trio and first surgeon appt) and now I just need to see the surgeon again to get my opti and date! I'm just north of Newmarket (moved recently) but work in Newmarket 5 days a week and would love to get together with a support group! So there's 2 of us...anyone else? :)

FYI, in Barrie at the mall there is a group that meets every Wednesday and there is also a monthly group meeting in the Barrie area as well. I know it is not Newmarket but might work. I have not heard of any in the Newmarket area though. There is a York Region WLS facebook page but I am not sure if they put on meetings either.
York Region meetings ended in December, due to lack of participation.
Surgery March 23/2011. Completed three full marathons and two half marathons, two half Ironman distances. Completed my first Full Ironman distance (4 km swim, 180 km bike, 42.2 km (full marathon) run) in Muskoka August 30/2015. Next Ironman Lake Placid July 23/2017!
