I've been trying to reply to you for a couple of hours now but my internet connection is giving me grief. Hopefully this one will go through. I'm pre-op and I am glad you are documenting your journey on Youtube. I'm 462 pounds at last weigh in ...much bigger then you are and I've heard us larger patients lose the weight very fast after surgery. I'm not sure where I am going with that but I did enjoy your video and you're a very bright and articulate young lady. I'll try to subscribe to your channel once I remember my password. I'm Lizzie Jones on Youtube.
I hope your surgery comes as planned. From what I hear delays really suck when you're on Optifast. I'm still trying to get my doctor to refer me since last August but he cannot figure out how to do it by computer which is what the Bariatric clinic in Hamilton requires I guess. I think I'm going to have to ask another doctor to refer me because mine has wasted so much time.
Anyway, I'll quit rambling now so good luck. :)

This one definitely went through :) Thank you very much for your kind words. Are you trying to go through St.Josephs in Hamilton? That is where I am going through :) and that is strange that your doctor can't figure it out.. It is a long process but so worth it in the end, I'm sure of it :) I hope you get it figured out very soon and start this amazing, exciting and a little bit terrifying journey hahaha and definitely feel free to subscribe to my channel and message me anytime :) Have a great day!!

Yes, I was in St. Joe's here in Hamilton last year for 3 and a half months for a weight related medical problem. I got cellulitis in June 2015 and was transferred to St. Joe's after being treated at Juravinski for 2 months. I went to St. Joe's the last week in July. While there they found out I had anemia and arthritis in my legs. Also While at St. Joe's I met a great social worker who had the gastric sleeve and she told me all about it and answered all my questions because I had been thinking about WLS for a couple of years. I want to have it. I asked the doctor who was treating me in August to refer me to the clinic and he tells me he is trying but cannot figure out how to do it by computer. He is an older doctor but that's no excuse for not being able to figure it out and he could ask another doctor for help.

I don't have a family doctor yet but I think I'm going to have to get on the phone and get one and get the referral from that doctor.

I would hop up on that operating table tomorrow if I could, I want the surgery so much because I feel it will give me my life back and improve my mobility 100%.

I'm looking forward to your next video. I've been watching all sorts of them on Youtube. I love the 'What I'm taking to the hospital' videos and the 'What I am eating after surgery' ones.

P.S. That picture of me is from when I was at St. Joe's last summer sitting in my wheelchair.

Congratulations! I have my orientation on April 18th at TWH.  I feel like it's going to take forever to have my surgery  - but so glad to have the opportunity.

Good luck - Can't wait to follow you on your journey.
