Telehealth

Hey guys, so I've already been to orientation at Toronto Western Hospital and received my first three appointments. I decided to use telehealth, so I didn't have to drive to Toronto each time, as I live about an hour away. I know they say that using telehealth yields the same result as going in to your appointments in person, but it seems as though it's impossible to speed-up the process and call-in ahead of time to recevie cancelled appointments from others. Anyone else in the same boat? Thinking of leaving telehealth and switching to in-person appointments to speed-up the waiting process. Would this be a smart move?

There is no point of speeding up the process because then you are not given the time to change the habits you have that have made you over weight.

I did my appointments via telehealth.  The nutrition class has to be done in person, so I did that, and when they scheduled my next two appointments I did those in person to speed up the process a tad - I was able to move those two appointment by over two months. Still took me 13 months from orientation. Plus I'd already been approved before from HRRH - so I didn't feel like I missed out on any of the process...  23.25 months from my referral to surgery.  I didn't have to repeat any appointments. So, even speeding things up doesn't necessarily make it much faster.
