here I go again!
It's been about a year and a half since I last posted...
18 months ago I had requested a referral from my doctor, and a couple of weeks later had a very brief phone interview with Guelph Hospital, which resulted in - I'll use someone's smart wording for this - "postponement". Of course I was devastated, I wanted things to happen NOW, not later. Well, it's later alright, and I have began this process again, and with a much better attitude.
With some hard lifestyle changes and serious adjustments to my physical activity, I've managed to lose 60lbs! It's this euphoric feeling of knowing I CAN DO IT that I'm trying to hold on to and focus on, so that the upsetting feeling of still needing to lose 155lbs doesn't drag me down. So far the "fake it till I make it" is working.
Here's the best part, and the whole reason to my posting again today...
Last week I made an appointment with my doctor for another referral, this time instead of getting a phone interview I got a direct email to attend the orientation in Guelph on April 14th!!!! That has to be a good sign, right?!?
If you're going to be speaking that night, or will be attending for your own orientation, I'd love to meet you :)
This is it.

Good for you! A positive attitude makes such a difference in so many ways. Congrats on making changes and losing some weight along the way. Good luck at your orientation...better things to come.
