A Star is Born

About a year ago the hospital where I had surgery was given a grant to make a video. Since much of the information at orientation is always the same they made a video for orientation. Rues in Canada are different than USA. Doctors can not advertise and all bariatric surgery is done through hospitals they are surgeons at.

So on I volunteered to be in the video. When it was filmed we were interviewed on camera. I figure a minute or two would end up in the video. They had quite a few people contributing.

On Wednesday night they showed the film at the hospital support group to get feed back on it. As I sa****ching it I became more and more embarrassed because I was all over the film. There are about three of us they used a lot and a couple of others that had small cameos. I have never sen myself on screen like this.

So the next time you see a video orientation film. Watch out for the old lady on it.

Not surprised to read this Pat.  With your common sense approach  and dedication to your surgery and health, you are a wonderful example.

Watch the old lady stuff eh?  I'm  right behind you.

Congrats on others knowing the star you are.

I really appreciated the testimonials given in the video. I am 7 months post op and although this was made for Orientation, it gave me a boost to soldier on at a time where I feel I am dragging a bit.

Next time - demand better lighting and a private winnebago filled with white candles and gardenias. Oh --- and a personal trainer and chef. You all deserve it!

It is funny . They told us someone would be there to do our make-up. So I didn't wear any. But they didn't show up until after I finished filming.
