Morning
Lots on the go today beginning with a golf tournament this morning - lunch followed by my last Bocce game of the year. Out tonight for dinner and an outdoor concert with friends.
Pre WLS just the thought of all this physical activity would have exhausted me - plus the anxiety of figuring out what to wear. Life is good.
STEPS - 5502
EATS
B - 2 large mugs of coffee
1 cup of eggbeaters scrambled with 3 slices of Jones Cdn bacon
S - 1/2 Quest bar
L - Scoop of tuna ( assuming 5 oz )
Cup of bean soup
D - Meatballs and greek salad - dinner is served in stations in the park - small servings which are perfect. Lots of other choices but meatballs and salad are perfect for me

Good morning. went for a long walk yesterday by myself. It is amazing how much faster I can accomplish a long distance without my dog and DH. I should swim today but to be honest I am just too tired.
I am suppose to go out tonight. They are making candy. Really not interested. Too much temptation. I used to make Easter eggs and chocolate suckers but gave that up when the kids got older.
Not sure what is for dinner since DH is cooking. We have a freezer full of meat but he will probably go out and buy something. I have put chicken but will change it later. Actually my menu is very boring and a copy of yesterdays.
b greek yogurt, shredded wheat, strawberries
l chili, yogurt
s apple, baby bel
d chicken and salad
s laughing cow and crackers
Afternoon all. Such a dreary day. Wish i was home cuddled up in my bed. I saw your post yesterday Pat about taking your grandson out for spring break. There is a trampolining place in Kitchener somewhere. Maybe you can do that, that would kill off one day, lol. I on the other hand, i am going to relax. I went back to the gym yesterday and tried Zumba. My knee did pretty well, although i was a bit sore later. Boy, am i out of shape, i wasn't overly tired and i could keep up with the instructor, but i felt out of sorts.

I checked in with the nurse yesterday and she said I was doing well. Their main focus is that I get in enough protein right now. I was given the green light for pureed food yesterday. When I was on liquid, the hospital said I could progress to pureed when I felt ready.
Also, when I eat, I take small sips and breaks in between. It takes me 20 minutes to get the pureed beans down. The hospital said that a meal should last 20 minutes and that a cup of food per meal is OK.

Just seems like a lot of pureed this soon is all. Also we were never allowed sips while we ate but if they are okay with the amounts and you sipping, I guess all is good. Just a large volume so early out. Normally we aim for 1 cup much further down the road. I remember pureed was like 2 tbsp of this and that and 1/4 cup at most but then surgery was over 10 years ago for me.
