Hi there everyone. All my final wls appointments have been pushed back to after May, now thanks to my carpol tunnel surgeries being pushed back. I thought I was making some good time with all my appointments being done quickly,  now I have nothing till May. I'm  feeling really frustrated and down right now..

My appointment with Dr. Glazer isnt until May 31, then I dont know what happens then. I am trying to get my surgery done at the same time I'm off for carpol tunnel surgery. (less time off work) But right now it feels "too quiet" with nothing happening. I dont want to have too much time on my hands to think, fearing I may change my mind. What did you guys do during the stalls? How did you stay positive?  Help!

I know it's hard, but stay off the scale. Measure yourself! Before, during, and after. That way if you have a few weeks without weight loss, you can compare the inches. I look at my "before" jeans and compare to my "now" jeans. These are things that help me stay focused.

As an afterthought, I wish I had taken more "before" pictures. I hated my reflection and almost every picture of me has me hiding behind someone or some thing. It would be nice to have better comparison pictures.

Referral - Feb 25th, 2014. Info Session - April 7th
Surgeon#1 - May 15th  Dr. Glazer - July 23rd, Dietitian/Social Worker/RN - Aug 1st, Surgeon #2 - Sept 10th, Surgery - Dec 16th, 2014!

I can totally empathize.   There were a few months where I thought the waiting would drive me crazy.  It feels like the process takes forever, but then in sneaks up on you and before you know it, you're walking in to the operating room.

The best thing you can do with this time is start making small lifestyle changes and focus on getting as healthy as you can in the interim.  By starting now to make changes, you're setting the foundation for permanent success.

And I know it's hard, but try to be patient.  Your time will come and your life will completely change for the better.
