Does anyone on here wear a medic alert bracelet alerting to no NSAIDS?  Indicating they are Bariatric patients.

I did for a while, but started thinking if I had a heart attack I would rather be given an aspirin than die.

Same here.  I thought about getting one, but if NSAIDS will save my life, I'll let them give them to me and risk meds for the rest of my life.

Yes - and it is recommended by TWH Bariatric Clinic. I wear a titanium bracelet approx.$70 - not a necklace that could fall off, or something with leather that won't tolerate water when swimming or showering. Mine is pretty plain - don't want anything that would be mistaken for a charm bracelet!

A friend of mine was a paramedic and is now a fire chief. He told me to never take it off. Got mine here http://www.universalmedicalid.com/canada/ You don't need to pay a monthly fee like other suppliers or have it high tech. If the person who finds you under duress doesn't have equipment to plug into, better to keep it clearly readable.

I do. Since right after my surgery. I went the dog tag route for the time being at least. Never take them off.

Yes, I also wear a medic alert bracelet at all times. I got mine on-line at a place called "Lauren's Hope". They have a huge selection of bracelets, necklaces, dog tags, etc. The only problem is all costs are in US dollars.

Yes I purchased one and never take it off.

It says:  Gastric Bypass; No Blind NG Tube, NSAIDS or sugars

Better safe than sorry.

If you get one keep it simple with surgery date and type and allergies. No sugars and no NSAIDs our statements that I put on mine and now I disagree so I don't even wear mine anymore.
