Kidney Stones after RNY are they forever?

I have searched OH and found that many post RNYers have had kidney stones. Is this something that occurs within a short time after the surgery (I am 2 1/2 years out) or I am looking at a life time of these little pests? I have had 3 diagnosed in the last year, 2 surgeries done, one emergency last Saturday and one to go. They are not only painful, so are the stents.
I have heard that many of you have had success taking with lemon juice or lemonade daily. Do any of you take Potassium Citrate? Just wondering to prevent further stones.
I drink 2 litres of water daily (purified) and always have and I try to keep salt to a minimum. The Urologist thinks the cause is dehydration because of the RNY surgery.
These surgeries in additional to my 3 related Petersen Hernia surgeries are certainly keeping me and the Docs busy.
A bunch of things can cause kidney stones. But the most common, by far, is not drinking enough.
After WLS, we are burning fat and processing a high protein diet. That requires even more water than usual. So however much you've been drinking, drink more.
