Trying tennis again today to see if my bones can handle it - otherwise a day of rest before a 3 day tournament this weekend.

veggie mix of green beans - red peppers and onions sautéed in pam spray

2 wasa slices with 1 triangle of jalapeno laughing cow

Well, I had this all typed out and I lost my post :( let me try again.
Last night we went for dinner and looked at puppies at the mall. I'm so tempted to get a puppy pal for my dog. We are going to take our time this time. My pup was an impulse buy the night before I started opti. I couldn't imagine life without her now. She is definitely part of our little family.
Breakfast - Greek yogurt, banana, fibre one
Snack - carrots and light peanut butter
Lunch - ham, Creole black beans
Snack - egg, pudding
Dinner - chicken, potatoes, salad
Snack - yogurt, pepperette
Goal - all vits and 3L of water (was a bit short yesterday)

Morning all. This week is turning out nice. We ere given a choice for this morning on whether to attend class or not, well that was a no brainer. Chose to do online work and afternoon class is cancelled as well. Win win for everyone. I will try and take a nap as i couldn't sleep last night for some reason.

Playing tennis does not sound like a day of rest. Just the thought of it starts my knee aching. I am missing my swimming. There has been something going on everyday this week at lun*****luding today. I am suppose to go to a meting. they gave us a choice of three salads. All were weird and nothing I would eat. I picked the paleo but looking at it again I can not figure out the protein in it just the carbs. I have an Ocean's tuna kit I did not eat so I think I will eat that. At least I know what is in it.
Tonight a meeting. Try not to eat the goodies there. I think I will take some baby bel to eat in case.
Yesterday was a bad eating and drinking day. I was trying to give up wine for a month but I had some last night. It actually helped me face some issues I was having trouble dealing with. I have been having headaches all week and today it is gone. I know this is not the way to deal with problems but maybe I just needed to loosen up.
So today back to eating better. I have been adding shredded wheat to my yogurt to add some fiber. You would think using miralax and benefibre would be enough but not so.

Just popping in to say hello to you all! I'm doing whole foods and paleo as spring training has begun for race season. Hope you are all well!
Surgery March 23/2011. Completed three full marathons and two half marathons, two half Ironman distances. Completed my first Full Ironman distance (4 km swim, 180 km bike, 42.2 km (full marathon) run) in Muskoka August 30/2015. Next Ironman Lake Placid July 23/2017!
Good evening everyone. My dog is doing ok, the antibiotics have improved her mouth smell, a good sign. She seems to have a bit more energy, she barked and ran to greet me when I got home, first time she has done that in a long time. I know that it is not a cure but I am happy that it is making her feel better for now. I feel like I am coming down with something, nausea when I eat, runny nose. I am taking extra vitamins but not sure I will be able to fight off getting sick, it seems nearly everyone at work is sick.

b - gnc protein shake with decaf coffee crytals added, xl decaf coffee x 2 throughout the day
s - cucumber slices with old cheddar cheese
l - 1 cup chicken and beef chilli from the freezer
s - apple, diet pepsi
d - 1/2 an octoberfest sausage, 1/2 cup mashed turnip
s - sf orange koolaid, more dinner if I get hungry

Ya, I used to avoid it because it is hard to peel etc. Now I just take the whole turnip, wrap it in paper towel and cook it in the microwave for 15 minutes. The skin comes right off once it is cooked and it is ready to eat. I am never going to cut a turnip again I think! You might want to flip the turnip halfway through the cooking time for even cooking. I find turnip super filling, I can only eat maybe 1/3 of a cup and I am full, and it goes well with meat.
