Good morning Pat.  Yesterday was a lot for you to take in.  A long walk, especially if you are walking by the water, should help (I know it always does for me).

Today I am going to Zumba, maybe visit a friend after, and tonight DH and I are going to the movies.  Went out with friends for dinner last night, and the food was very good.  I did have a few bites off plan, more of a sharing dessert between 4 people moment.  Not sure what's on the menu today, I have to see what leftovers I have in the freezer.

Have a good day everyone.

Good morning Pat.  It has been unusually quiet lately, hopefully everyone is doing well.  Nice day for a walk, wish I lived in your neighbourhood, such an awesome place to walk around.  Pretty wet out there though eh?  My dog won't let me touch her mouth so I think she is in a lot of pain, I will be taking her to the vet this week, see what he can do.  She is so old and sick that anesthesia would likely kill her so I am not sure what he will suggest.  She has lived way beyond what anyone though possible with kidney failure, so he may recommend putting her down.  I hope not as I can't imagine life without her, I have had her nearly my entire adult life.  Had a really really bad eating day yesterday, bread, croissant, a cookie, a Cadbury cream egg.  My intention is to clean things up today and get back on track with my eating.  Will do my regular workout and 1.5 hours of yin yoga later this afternoon.  I bought some new sf syrups yesterday, torani black cherry, vanilla, and classic caramel.  I am thinking with baking chocolate the black cherry one will taste a little like black forest cake.  I got them at Personal Service: http://www.personalservicecoffee.ca/pages/locations, an amazing hot beverage store with locations across Ontario.  Loved it!

b - gnc chocolate protein shake with decaf coffee crystals added

s - 3/4 cup low carb high protein hot cereal - oat fibre, whey protein powder, skim milk powder, chia seed, psyllium husk, flax meal, 1 tbsp. frozen cranberries, sf cinnamon Dasani, sf peach Dasani. Sometimes I add a little toasted coconut or coconut flour, it adds a nice taste. A tsp of nuts or seeds also really nice. A tsp nut butter if you want a richer taste. Add boiling water and let hydrate until its to desired thickness.  I like to drink a cup of water before and then again half an hour after eating as it can be drying.  I may try this with the new sf black cherry syrup today.  Whoa!

l - 1 cup leftover beef and chicken chilli with old cheddar on top, maybe a little plain liberte yogurt, later...sf grape koolaid to hydrate for yoga

s - same as morning snack, a protein shake (27g low carb orange whey protein, ice, skim milk, strawberries) while at the gym for 2.5 hours, very helpful while in a hot room.

d - same as lunch

s - slice of bean bread with margarine and sf high fibre blackberry jam, later...herbal tea

all water and vitamin, have a nice day everyone!

Ah sorry to hear about your dog, she is such a sweetie.   Do you think it is a bad tooth? If so he may be able to freeze it and give her twilight anesthesia which might be better.

Good for you for getting back on track today. Sounds like you had a stress induced breakdown of your resolve.   We have all been there. Your menu looks yummy.

Hi Cc, thanks for the reply.  Pretty sure it is quite a few bad teeth.  The last time I took her to the vet was over a year ago and she already had one bad tooth.  He advised to leave it, but that may have been because at the time she had a life expectancy of only 3 months.  I have been brushing them every so often to keep an eye on them but the last few times she will not let me brush her teeth at all or look in her mouth, so something has gotten worse.  I am absolutely dreading losing her, she is my little baby girl in my mind and I love her completely. Hopefully he will be able to help her, he is an awesome vet so I am positive that he will do the right thing by my dog.  I will ask about twilight anesthesia as an option, thank you for mentioning it.  She is still eating well, I just add water and make her dry food into a mush, her appetite is still good.    I had a couple of letdowns lately so you are probably right, I am eating from stress and feeling a lack of control.  I am doing good so far today, on track, hopefully the rest of the day will follow suit.  Hope you have a nice day Cc!

Thanks Pat, I hope there is good news this week for her and that my vet can help her, she is such a sweet little dog.  I found the sf torani vanilla and caramel at the Real Canadian Superstore, it was a nice surprise.  And they were the little bottles too, super handy.  It will be nice to try the new flavours.
