Everything went well, came home yesterday afternoon (they were waitnig for me to start passing gases)). The pain was worst during the night, but the worst thing for me was nausea. Today Im good drinking water and protein shakes, it is hard, because of the smell, it never bother me so much, but when I opened one yesterday evening I coludn't drinking today is a little bit better I hope it will pass.
Gases are ok for now, almost no pain, overall I feel good if I didn't have cuts on my stomach, bruises from IV(problems with vains they were hiding) I would say there was no surgery.
Can somebody tell me how to take vitamins? I do have bariatric advantage calcium and multivitamis and I want add iron to that. I know I have to take 1500mg of calcium what about the rest? how many?
And can I drink decaff coffe?
Welcome back and glad your surgery went well. In terms of vitamins (and I'm no expert) ... I had the chewable multi's and chewable D3 (from Jamieson) and sublingual B12's ... I had no issues with taking them after surgery. I took one multi a day and then make sure you do not have the calcium (D3****il a few hours later (I take 3 a day as recommended by the NP) and I take the B12 every other day. I'm not sure what hospital you were at but we got a very informative binder at TWH and it explained all about our aftercare. I stopped drinking coffee totally during the Opti phase and never looked back. I'm sure you can have decaf coffee, however maybe one of the vets on the site can help with that.
