God Grant Me Patience......

I had my orientation Dec 10.  I figured I would take a chance and give Humber a shout....see if there happened to be a surgeon cancellation right at the moment I called so I could squeeeeze in there, lol!  Nope!  There are no cancellation lists until you have your first actual appointment.  The nurse (very nice, I might add) said they are just not working on the appointments for people who attended orientation in August.  Gah!  This post is trivial...I know.....but good lord, it seems like this is taking forever.  I think especially since it took me a year to get my Dr to even send the referral in....I would have been waiting for surgery any time now!  Ok....I am done my sulking....I will keep reading and learning from everything on here and when my time comes I am going to be so damn educated on this surgery, they may as well hand me an honorary PhD!

Have a super day my friends!!!

Unfortunately this is not a fast process. Try to use this time to start making the changes you will need to mke after surgery.

I hear you, the wait can be really frustrating.  As Pat mentioned start the habits you will use post op, then they will feel more normal once you get there.  One thing I can say at 18 months post op is that I still learn new tricks and tips, that process never really ends. I found posting my menus in the what are you eating doing today very helpful even pre-op, lots of useful info.  Try to keep busy so you don't think about it and you will get there. Keep us on the loop as to how the process is going, I hope things speed up for you soon.
