cal 847, carb 138, prot 65 Wow soup has a whopping 62 carbs, That is just from the peas and lentils. I think I need to check my recipe to see if this is correct. If it is I will not be making it for a while.

Pea soup has lots of carbs, but they are complex.  Wonderful to eat in the winter.

Don't know my eats this week as its tough when I don't have a kitchen.  Eating reasonably is my goal until I get back home.

Peas and lentils are very high in carbs, lots of fibre too but still lots of carbs.  I think 1 cup of dried split peas is about 130 grams of carbs alone so all depends how much of each you use and how many servings it makes but I bet your numbers are not too far off.

I am trying to lose some weight. I think I am lumping all carbs and wanting them to be low. I think carbs from beans are not so bad. At least it is not a loaf of french stick with lots of butter

It's still calories in vs calories out to lose so if you stick to your number of calories to lose then it shouldn't matter.  For me I have to go low carb as even the healthy carbs make me crave more and that 1 cup of soup would turn into two, etc.  If I were to eat 1000 calories mostly of carbs, I'd be starving and looking for more to eat but if I eat 1000 calories mostly of protein then I can avoid wanting more.  Not sure if carbs do that to you or not but if they don't then you should be fine.

If it is chili or thick soup with protein in it I am usually okay. It fills me up. I have some in the freezer so will probably eat it for lunches where I can only bring one cup at a time

Good evening.  Omg Pat I have been craving gummy candy like crazy for some reason.  I had a few the other day and actually I did not really care for them but boy am I craving them again.  It has a strong effect on our bodies, that is for sure.  Just take it one day at a time, you can do it!  Had a really stressful day and managed to stay on track all day except for the afternoon where I had an oh henry bar.  I know why too, I did not have a snack in the morning and afternoon and I became overly hungry and bam, bad choice.  My carbs are still under 50 net though, and my calories were only 1100 because the rest of my meals were super low carb high protein.

18 months post op

b - gnc chocolate protein shake with decaf coffee crystals added, decaf coffee

s - none

l - 3/4 cup homemade beef and chicken meat-only chili with lots of celery and some edamame beans added, a little cheddar cheese on top, cucumber slices

s - none, then an oh henry bar and a packet of almonds on the bus.

d - 1/2 cup old cheddar cheese slices

s - 3 "cookies" made from egg whites, sucralose, chocolate protein powder, cinnamon, oat fibre, and whipped peanut butter.  They turned out rather nice and only 70 calories each

All water and vitamins.  Have a nice sleep everyone!
