Question about Nsaid substitutes
For those taking high doses of Tylenol regularly, be aware that liver problems are starting to surface now with regular users (just FYI). Other pain relief options are opioid-based options (ie., tramadol), but I'd stay away from regular use of those if you can due to dependence/addiction potential. Some docs are also talking about pregabalin and gabapentin use (both used for neuropathic pain). If you are still pre-op, these are the things you need to discuss with your surgeon before you have your surgery. They'll figure out the the best options for you.

And to clarify here.... I don't mean that liver issues are specific to WLS patients, I mean this is being seen in the general population.

I used to live on Ibuprofen... I have bad osteoarthritis as well, and have had it for years. It is so much better since losing the weight... I have only taken Tylenol a few times.
