What are you eating/doing today? (Tuesday)
Good morning everyone. Some critter thumping around on the roof woke me up. I predict a nap in my future.
Today it's swimming for an hour and later a Zumba step class. There may also be another attempt at spring cleaning. At the rate that I am going at, my spring cleaning will be done by next winter.

B. Large decaf coffee, and later a decaf protein coffee
L. Skinny pasta (I probably won't buy this again. It's like a fresh whole wheat pasta, but I am not liking the texture. The stats are good, 1 gram of protein per 10 of calories and fairly low carb with lots of fibre), 3 Italian chicken meatballs, roasted red pepper sauce and 1/8 cup of ricotta
S. Skinny latte
D. Portobello mushroom cap stuffed with a slice of prosciutto and then an egg, baked and a protein cheese sauce on top
S. Protein hot chocolate
MFP totals Calories 753, Carbs 48, Fat 29, Protein 88
These numbers seem a little low, I'll have to try and figure out a protein snack.

Good morning cc. You make me feel like a slug with all your exercise. Enjoy. I am off to TWH for 10:30. My 4 year check up. I wish I was feeling better about my weight right now. I have hoped to lose at least 5 lbs by now. Need to get my head straight. Perhaps today will help.
Unless it is pouring rain I will walk to work to get in some steps.

Excuse me Pat, but you are one of the reasons I exercise so much, lol. You were biking to work and swimming and walking. In fact I'm pretty sure it was you that told my husband at the Clarkson Pump when I newly postop that he should expect big changes in my activity level and that your husband can hardly keep up with you. You were right by the way, hehe.

I love the energy we have now. He does have trouble keeping up with me, but every once and a while I let him catch me, ;)

Good morning everyone. Cc sorry your pasta did not turn out, I use shirataki noodles mostly, they have them at my local sobeys. Your menu looks really good, especially the mushroom, sounds great.
Regular work day and the gym here, nothing special. Made an interesting meal last night - pre made chicken thighs from farm boy with bacon and beans. Aha, you say, beans are so carny though right? I used black soybeans, which only have one net carb per serving. I mixed them in a crumbled slice of bacon, chilli powder, nsa ketchup, a little chipotle pepper powder. It was a super good combination! I also made those brownies that NewMe180 posted and they turned out really nice, tasty and filling. Thanks NewMe!

I have tried Shirataki pre WLS and really liked them, but since WLS, I can't get myself excited about them. I think it's the smell that is off putting right now. Never had a problem with the smell before. I'm sure I'll go back to them at some point. They have very little nutritional value, but I found the fettuccine really good to use as a replacement for the rice noodles in pad Thai.

You definitely need to rinse and drain them well and microwave them before using them. I usually drain them after microwave to get them really dry. They are best with a strong tasting sauce I find, as they do have a little taste to them, a stronger sauce usually masks that. They definitely don't have much nutrition, just filling. I like the explore Asia black soybean spaghetti yes it has a different colour but it seems to absorb flavours better than the shirataki noodles.
