Just wondering at what part of this journey will Opti come into play?

Does my dietician talk to me about it?

I don't see her till Feb so was just wondering

Any info will be appreciated :)

For me the day I met with the surgeon's associate, and they had all the info they needed (scope results they were waiting on) I was given  my date that day and given the prescription to get the opti from the pharmacy at the hospital. 

When you get your date they will tell you how long you need to do the OPTI for.  She also marked the days out on a calendar for me.   Opti -clear fluids- hospital 

I'm currently in the opti fast phase 

the taking of the opti comes near the end of your program when your cleared and appt to meet the surgeon comes. Once your file is cleared you will meet with the surgeon ,when all is ok for surgery the surgeon will give your your OR date 

the surgeon will then tell you how many weeks of opti he wants you to take. This is so it shrinks the fat around your liver so the surgeon has no difficulty retracting your liver to do the  surgery. The last day of your opti is the night before your surgery. The next day is your surgery. 

Im in my second week and have a surgery date of jan25 

so one more week to go. I only needed 2 weeks.

the opti is give according to your weight and BMI
