What are you doing/eating today ( Monday)
Welcome back Barb. You left Canada at a good time. It is cold and snowing here. Enjoy your rest.
I had a lidocaine infusion on Saturday. It is really weird not being in a ton of pain. I do have a few twinges but damn this is great. I am sleeping like a baby. I feel a little hung over but I will take it
The down side of the new meds is I am eating far too much. So trying to get back on track today. Swimming always helps me feel better so will try to get to the pool today
b greek yogurt, blueberries, special k protein
s banana
l soup lady soup (think like a stew) with chicken, source yogurt
s balderson cheese single pack
d turkey meatloaf, acorn squash
s laughing cow and breton crackers
cal 1141, carb 109, prot 103
I don't know how you kept your sense of humor for so long being in pain. Glad you have found something that works. Some pain meds make me crave or require carbs to ease the gastric upset that accompanies them. ( think narcotics). So I have to weigh whether to take them and what will ease my gastric upset with the least amount of carbs/calories - usually Greek yogurt does the trick for me.
Its a constant state of vigilance eh?
Barb
This is more like an attack of the munchies. I definitely crave carbs. It seems some people get an upset stomach but I seem to have an iron gut.
I try the whole mind over matter stuff but sometimes the constant pain just gets you down. That's when the whole eating/drinking to make yourself feel better can kick in. Sure way for me to gain.
Hello all. Yes i'm still alive, but busy as hell. This semester is brutal. A lot of online work and i'm starting to get confused, lol. I'll probably get all my eggs in one basket before the term is up.
