Good morning!

Yes, it's a wee bit nippy out there, since winter finally arrived. On to spring!

Off to work for the day, have to run an errand after, then home for the evening. I've got the makings of pulled pork in the crockpot - DELI****his is probably weird (we all seem to have our own food quirks lol) but I don't eat it on a bun - I make homemade coleslaw, throw a glop of it on a plate and top it with a glop of hot pulled pork. Doesn't sound very appealing. lol

9.5 years post-op

-- coffee with cream x 4 over the day --

B - Premier protein shake (vanilla)

S - muffin-tin sized crustless quiche, a few shots of Frank's

L - summer sausage/old cheddar/pickle roll-ups (2), another crustless quiche if still hungry-ish

S - Greek yogurt (cherry, so tasty)

D - homemade coleslaw topped with 3-4 oz pulled pork from the crockpot

S - not sure

Have a wonderful Wednesday!

K. :)

Good morning everyone.  Just a normal workday for me, packed a lunch for myself, that really helps.  Last night I gave in to a craving for gummy candies, threw most of them out but still felt really yucky afterwards.  Sigh.  Back on the horse right after so that is the main thing.  Going to make sure I always have 2 non perishable snacks in my bag at all times, that might have saved me.

Birdiegirl what is cold in Florida?  Just curious...  Karen I do the same with pulled pork, I prefer it to a lc bun actually, and it adds a welcome fresh element.

The weather here is actually not too bad. Cold weather warnings have been lifted. I am off to Blue Mountain for a few days. We are going to try snowshoeing. A little swimming. Just want to get away for a couple of days.

It is amazing how my outlook on life has lifted with the almost lack of pain.I find myself smiling more often.  I now also have cream for my knee which takes away that pain as well. I am a little concerned I do not overdue it since I feel so great.

We are taking breakfast. I do not really enjoy eating breakfast out since eggs often do not agree with me. I will try to eat healthy but it is sometimes hard to figure out the things they put into your meals.

So here is my breakfast and lunch. I will post again on Saturday

b greek yogurt, blueberries, special K protein

l chicken salad with melba toast and source yogurt

Blue Mountain is wonderful.  The view from the road at the top is spectacular, and they have wonderful walking trails up there.  Have a great getaway Pat.  I am so glad your pain is gone.  You must feel like a kid again.

I feel I am eating too much. Not sure how I can remedy that short of not eating at all and I don't think that is wise. I will try to focus on increasing my water.

As Birdirgirl mentioned yesterday, lowering or eliminating your nut portion would lower your calories and fat significantly.  I pre-bag the portions and try to keep them small or use the portion sizes prepackaged ones, I think they are 28g.  Right now I count my almonds to make sure I don't eat more than I want, it is easy to eat too many of these yummy things. If you switch to plain liberte yogurt and add your own sf flavourings you can save carbs/calories that way too, no added sugar.  I I find adding portion size to my daily menu helps me stay aware of how much I am eating too. Your menu looks good, your breakfast reminds me I have some back bacon in the freezer to eat.  Love that stuff.

Great idea with the yogurt flavourings - I can use some of the flavouring I bought for Opti - they should be still good.

I was using a 1 cup reusable Rubbermaid container for the nuts...I am going off them for the next while.

I was ever into the Premier Protein shakes - drinking them for me was like work - lol I did enjoy the bars so I may pick some of those back up.

I appreciate everyone keeping an eye out for me.

Hugs!

Good morning everyone. Today I plan on a morning yoga class and then later today a Zumba class.  General household drudgery is also on the agenda.  Everyone's menu sounds so good.
