New to WLS
I'm new to this world of bariatric surgery. Here's a bit of history: I've struggled with my weight my whole life. But it it hasn't been a real problem until the past couple years. I gave birth to my daughter in the fall of 2012. I then developed postpartum depression and anxiety. The combination of not wanting to go out, and the antidepressants I am taking have caused me to gain quite a bit of weight in such a short period of time. I have since tried weigh****chers, diet, personal trainer, medications, etc., but it seems that the weight is stubborn. Because of the weight my lower back, hips, knees, ankles and feet are in constant pain for which I take pain medicine for so that I am able to get through the day. I have also developed sleep apnea and now have to use a CPAP. It was actually my sleep doctor that told me about the OBN program. That same day I booked an appointment with my family doctor, was referred December 2, 2015, and my orientation is April 11, 2016 at TWH. I feel like this is my last chance. I have no indicators of diabetes, heart disease, cholesterol, or thyroid issues, etc., but it's only a matter of time before they come knocking on my door. I need to be healthy for me so that I can be here for my family.
I just wanted to say hi and thank you for reading!

Wow! It's nice (but not really, you know) to have someone who understands exactly how I got to this point. You've also just started this process too, right, inkedgirl73?
Thank you all for your kind words. I'm sure I'll have lots of questions as I go through this life changing process.
