I'd like to buy a food scale but there are so many options. Can anyone recommend a scale?

I've had a StarFrit digital one for over 10 years and it's still going strong.  They make them slightly different now than my old one but they all work well.  I bought the newer model to keep at the cottage and I like it as well.  Watch the sales at Canadian Tire as they often come on sale there.

I have a start frit and bought one that was quite complex, in retrospect, I wish I had bought one that was more basic.

I bought an Ozeri -- stainless thin flat one because I have a very small kitchen. It works well http://www.amazon.ca/Ozeri-Professional-Digital-Kitchen-Nutr ition/dp/B002UEZ2FC/ref=sr_1_10?ie=UTF8&qid=1453009608&sr=8- 10&keywords=ozeri+kitchen+scale

I also bought Starfrit one for the cottage when it was on sale for about $12 http://www.canadiantire.ca/en/kitchen/tools-utensils/special ty-tools/starfrit-slim-glass-kitchen-scale-0428554p.html?utm _campaign=bazaarvoice&utm_medium=SearchVoice&utm_source=Rati ngsAndReviews&utm_content=Default

As you can see, both scales take very little room - I store them on their side beside my knife blocks.

Also bought an Ozeri bathroom scale just before surgery - pleased with that too!

I got a Salter scale ordered online from Costco a little expensive but worth it , it has a data bank of foods that when you weigh your food it breaks down the amounts of protein, carbs, carbs ect.
