1/2 day in clear fluids, already hate it
All I know is your mind set is good you know what you need to do it just getting back on tract to do it. Seeing the dietician tells me your doing what needs to be done. I've completed the program and I'm just waiting for my surgery jan25 and yes I can hardly wait.
You have all the answers to all you ask and believe that it's just applying it to your situation.
I see you've done the sleep study and your on the right track.
Get all the issues looked after so when you do go for surgery your ready and motivated to move forward.
I had so many bad habits that I too had to take a look at what I was doing. It's these bad habits that got us to the problems we have today. I always make a point that at every weigh in I make sure I'm down and it shows them you serious about your journey.
Im starting my opti fast soon and am ready to get my surgery.
just remember you are very capable of doing this and as I look at you posts and see you already have the answere to you question. so l have no dought that you've got control of this.
Just like your crackers you know it's a no no to your diet but you still ask the question. I have no issues about you being successful because I truly believe you know what to expect.
Good luck in your journey
and keep on the forum it's a wealth of great info to guide you.

I tried out various diets over the years and all seemed to call for some type of sacrifice for a period of time. I lost weight on some of them if I followed the directions but gained it all back when the diet ended. I didn't have too much trouble "giving up" if I knew there was an end date. When I was doing the prep work for my surgery, I also felt a bit sorry for myself and got a bit obsessed over what I was going to be giving up: wine, crackers, popcorn, freshly baked bread, sugary anything... but I just told myself there was an end date.
Post surgery, I know the end date is my "end date", and I'm okay with that because as others have said, I'm seeing amazing weight loss. Even my hubby said it is probably time to get me a smaller set of clothes.
My crack of DDP (What texans call Diet Dr. Pepper) and the problem is...IT"S EVERYWHERE!! Work, parties, restaurants. So--I started with my home. No DDP at home. I don't store it. nothing. I then started to cut back at work (Which I only work 2 days a week as an ICU RN). Work was hard because I felt like I used DDP to get me through my loooong 12 hour shifts. But I did it! I knew that DDP could potentially stretch my pouch faster and give me uncomfortable gas in my stomach that I couldn't burp up after surgery. I have never been able to give up DDP permanently nor quickly....I gave it up in about 1 month!!! I had a last "DDP" a few weeks ago as a treat--it didn't even taste that good!
You can do this! We all have our "crack" food! We must overcome it. Like others have said, reach out to someone--a friend, your doctor, therapist, personal trainer--someone who can keep you accountable and who you can talk about your feelings of fear or anxiety with giving it up. I don't know what your beliefs are, but the Bible (Christian Holy Book) helps encourage me through hard times more than anything. There is so much on not giving in to our desires, that God is with us and so much more.
Psalms 61:2
From the end of the earth I call to You when my heart is faint; Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
2 Timothy 1:7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline 1 Corinthians 10:31 Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.Remember, many of us are going through the same exact thing or have been through it and triumphed! You're not going through this alone! :)
