RNY  6 Years 8 Months Post Op

Morning

Lots on the go today - home tonight for dinner and I have promised my DH that I would make him his favorite pasta dish.  He is getting this instead of baking for Christmas.  I rarely eat pasta and usually save it for a few times per year on special occasions.  If I do eat 1.5 cups - which I should be able to - the calorie count just for this meal is over 800 calories and a whopping 90 carb grams.  And this is with me knowing whats inside it.  Hence my issues with eating pasta.  Plus its just too good!

STEPS - 7734

EATS

B - 2 large mugs of coffee

     3 oz leftover pecan crusted salmon

   

L -  1 Ham roll up plus 1/2 ham sandwich

 

D - 1/5 cups of sausage tortellini in olive oil and wine sauce, zucchini and peppers thrown in for color

    grated reggiano on top

 

S - Source dessert yogurt

 

MYFITNESSPAL totals for the above menu are:  Calories - 1,369,  Carbs - 122 Grams,  Fat - 59 Grams,  Protein - 82 Grams,

 

All water and vits

Your pasta does sound great.

I went to a party last night and only had 2 cheese and crackers. There were amazing cupcakes , chinese food, pizza and these great chocolate slice squares. Will power held

I am going to have one of those 'who knows what I will eat days'. I have planned but only loosely Our Holiday party is today. However I have also brought my lunch so I may look at what is there and then pick one or two items or just have my lunch instead.

Also we are going out to dinner tonight. I will keep reminding myself of this while I gaze at all the great goodies in the office.

So planned is

b greek yogurt, raspberries

l chili, source yogurt

s one goodie

d either a salad with protein or 1/2 a wrap

I have not even tried to work out the calories since I know this is just one bad day.

I need this season to be over!! I am not sure how much longer before I gain a million pounds

Pat, I'm still pre-op but your day sounds like mine.  Lunch in the office (curry chicken with rice - not too bad if I go easy on the rice) and out with friends tonight for dinner. However tomorrow I go to Surgery Ed class and I will be weighed in first.  UGH.  Just had an appt. last week so I don't expect a change but you never know if I go rogue today.

I've been trying to eat the post-op way just to prepare myself, some days are better than others.
