Those ones should only be recommended for the first month.   They are not primarily citrate.

These left me osteonpenic.

You need citrate.

You can order a chewable calcium citrate from any pharmacy just give them this NPN # 80003262 they cost approx $10-12 for 60 and are a citrus flavour.  At shoppers drug mart they sell life brand chewable vitamin d they come in citrus or chocolate flavour.

I've tried the Jameson chewables in both flavours, they're quite ok (but I find they have an after taste).

My favourite so far is Wellesse Liquid Calcium with Magesium and Vitamin D3, which you can buy at Costco. Obviously it's liquid, not chewable, but I find the taste quite good. My dietician also recommended this product when I was being discharged from hospital.

Good luck :)

My centre told me to stay away from the chews, they are mostly calcium carbonate, not citrate. Our RNY does not absorb carbonate.

I liked them very much, the Jamison chews, but I don't use them now.

I switched a while ago from the Wellesse and Jamieson because they are not calcium citrate. I go with the bariatric advantage calcium citrate, the chocolate is delicious.
