I received a phone call today from Dr. Aart's office asking me if I want to move my surgery up to January 6th instead of January 19th. Of course I do!!!! Good bye turkey dinner but very happy to have my surgery moved forward.

I'll be on the loser's bench soon.

Set some turkey aside in your freezer - come the end of January, throw it in a blender!Hahaha! Good for you!

You may want to ask her (unless already nixed) if you can have a little dinner.  When I was on Optifast diet years ago - I was allowed to have a small piece of turkey, broccoli, carrots. After all, it's about shrinking your liver. Maybe you could start Opti a couple of days early. Normally I wouldn't recommend bargaining w/ the medical team, but they could surprise you!

I say turkey dinner - shmerky dinner.  How many have you had in your lifetime?  It's only food it will always be there when you are ready.  Optifast the holidays away - no worries about playing that age old game of trying to shed extra holiday pounds.

Good call to go for the early date...Santa says you've been good this year

Congrats on the great news.

As for turkey there will be another time for that in the future

take your turkey and freeze it so that protein you can enjoy once you can eat solids.

Good luck
