Bugs in the belly.
I started my journey in June I went and started the program in Windsor and flew thought the program with no issues. 3 months later my file is on its was to Guelph. On track to have the surgery in a amazing 6 month duration
After doing my blood work it was found I have hpyloric a bacteria that lives in the stomach that half the world population has. No big deal you say. !!!!! Well that what I thought after seeing my dr. And starting a H pack. ( courses of antibiotic to clear hpyloric ) and to my surprise I was still positive. Now all is on hold as you can't have the surgery as the hpyloric will cause ulcers in the stomach and the dr. Won't touch you till clear.
So back to the dr and a stronger course was ordered consisting of amoxicillin, pantoloc Flagyl and busmith 16 pills daily to clear this bug. So after completing the course I went for my C14 test ( breath test to detect the hpyloric bacteria ) to see if I'm positive or negative. I have to wait 30 day after taking the meds to detect if the bacteria is still there. And to my horror I was still positive. I've now wasted 3 months and still in the same position. So I was ordered to see a gastroenterologist to do a scope and biopsy and a new regime of drug from the specialist that he said will more than likely clear my problem. So do the scope And back to the antibiotic and after a two week course of drug and 30 day wait to take the C14 test again I hold my breath and hope for the best. The biopsy takes 6 weeks to return so that was ok after waiting another 2 weeks with new meds from the the specialist. and a 30 day wait. oH **** Ya I was still positive. So the dr has put me on one last course to see if I clear. It consist of levaquin anoxil, and pantoloc for 2 weeks and another 30 day wait. In total when my chart was sent to Guelph it has now taken over 5 months and have to wait till January to complete this course I'm on and a 30 day wait to see if this finally works. The sad part is it now means if it's positive again I most likely will be asked to leave the program. This brings tears to my face as I've worked so hard and complied with all they have asked and it may be the end for my journey before it starts. I have taken 3 courses and this is my 4 th and probably my last. So I ask you all for a prayer in hopes God will allow me to take this journey. so all that are in and have taken this program you don't know how lucky you are it doesn't happen to all of us.
The funny thing is I have no stomach issues I never have. I don't even get heartburn it was all found when I did my blood work. How funny is that. !!!!! No man should have to go through that. Here is hoping the final time is a charm.
Best wish to all.
BUGS IN THE BELLY !!!!!!!!
I am sorry you are going through this. It makes me wonder if the bugs are becoming resistant to the treatment that we have been using. I hope this last course does the trick.
Just curious if you have lived in an undeveloped country at some point in your life. I know a lady who was a missionary and picked up some strange bugs.
Real life begins where your comfort zone ends
Thanks for your reply. I've never lived anywhere but Canada
but this is a resistance thing to the antibiotics and that's it. Hpylori is very common and you could have it and love your life and never know. Like I said 50% of world pop. Has this. It's a bacteria. And I'm resistant to the antibiotics.
I'm hoping this last course does this.
Thanks again
bugs
Great question.
Yes I did the original blood work and was not ordered on the requ.
Pit want till I completed the program in Windsor that when my file was sent to Guelph that it was found.
Im thankful this allows me to go forward and told by my dr that is stayed positive due to resistance to some antibiotics.
Had the scope done and now negative.
Thank you so much for your reply and support its greatly values.
