Hi,

Im feeling pretty good...post op day 10. I have a list of questions for my one week appointment tomorrow but the more I look over the list the more I think it is the dietician I need to speak to and not the nurse, hmm.

I'm hoping she can tell me about the diet expectations after puree and how to judge when to turn to soft food.

Question for people on here though...

I had high blood pressure and was on medication going into the surgery and for the past four days I've been monitoring my blood pressure and it's been below 120/80. I feel fine but has anyone else had this happen. Just to be clear I am not taking my blood pressure medication right now I haven't since before the surgery.

1st referral-June 2014, sent back and resubmitted September 2014. Wrong referral-medical not surgical. December 22-Surgical Referral sent in.

March 2, 2015-Orientation session; April 8, 2015-Blood work completed; May 12, 2015-Intake appointment; July 24, 2015 Dietician/Behaviourist; August 26, 2015 Pre-surgery class; September 21, 2015 Meet the surgeon; SURGERY NOVEMBER 13, 2015

Definitely ask "them" about it.  If you don't need it. as many of us don't.

Hi

post surgery, dr glazer advised to stop taking my bp meds.  I went from 140/95 to 90/60.  I know pain, and narcotics will decrease bp. On 3 Rd post op, bp was 114/88.  I monitor every day and my doctor advised if goes above 90 diastolic to start meds at 1/2 dose.  So far, no need to take the meds.  Best for you is to continue to monitor daily and discuss with md parameters necessary for you to restart if necessary.

I was was told that the wls will help with my bp and it did
