Gout, ouch.
Oh you poor thing. Suggestions? Yes, go to the doctor and take any meds they give you.

Whomever can see you sooner. I've heard that "time is of the essence" with gout.

post-op i suffered from gout horrifically for about 8 months. I was having flare ups every week or 2, longest i went without an attack was 3 weeks. I was told that post op with the rapid weight loss and high protein diet, we have issues dealing with the uric acid. I am now almost 12 months post op and have been mostly gout free for 2 months.
I was put on alapurinol daily and colchezine (spelling is off) for flare ups, seemed to work ok for me.
Hope it is getting better,
