I'm keeping my food VERY light.. just had surgery and I was 8 days without food. I had surgery yesterday at 4pm and was out of the hospital by 6. I'm going to transition back into eating slowly. Doesn't help that the smell of nearly everything makes me nauseated.

B: pumpkin spice protein shake

S: yogurt

L: a bit of homemade cream of mushroom soup

D: My tummy doesn't feel ready for anything heavy, so more soup or maybe just another protein shake. If I feel up to it though, maybe I'll make some fish and steamed veggies, depends on how the rest of the day goes

I'm also limiting my coffee intake for a bit. I'll be getting lots of rest and spending most of my day in bed on percocet. Have a great day everyone.

Sorry to hear you had to have surgery, what was the reason?  You are smart to take it slow with the foods and caffeine, give yourself time to heal.  I hope you feel better soon :0)

I wrote a bit on my experience, if you're interested. In a nutshell I had an internal hernia repaired and my gallbladder removed.

Sorry you had to have surgery Seyenna.  I am wishing you a speedy recovery.  Take it easy, and rest, but try to get up and walk just a little every once and a while.  Clots can form if you are laying down too much.

I like the sounds of your dinner.  I make one similar to that but I also put a piece or prosciutto in there with it all and it's delish.  I think I am getting sick of pork when chicken sounds good to me.  Low carbing has been very easy this time around for me too I must say.  No white-knuckling going on and woke up with the worse case of keto breath I've ever had.  Lazy day going on here, doing laundry that I didn't bother doing the other day and reading.

B- scrambled egg with homemade sausage patty and a tbsp of salsa on top

S - 1 cup steamed coconut milk with turmeric in it

L - 4 oz of roast pork with mustard and 1 cup of spaghetti squash sauteed with garlic, roma tomatoes then fresh basil and parm on top

D - taco salad, almost out of this too

19 carbs

Love Prosciutto and great idea - too late for my dinner tonight as I already have it ready to cook when I return tonight
