Good morning all,

My turn for insomnia.  Day 1 of low carb went well so on to Day 2 today.  Visiting with a friend later and that will mean one glass of red wine.  I used the numbers on MFP for 6 oz of Cabernet Sauvignon.  No idea how accurate they are as have never seen nutritional info on any bottle of wine.

B - veggie frittata, 2 slices of bacon

L - 4 oz roast pork, 2 tbsp gravy, 1/2 cup brussel sprouts

S - 6 oz of cabernet

D - taco salad  with 4 oz of ground beef and the usual topping minus the tortilla stuff.

Net carbs 22 grams

Morning

I was so happy to see you begin the thread this morning.  Been a long time since you have done this.

Day 3 of low carbing and so far so good.  Got through a long day of sitting around yesterday and then company last night.  The most difficult is I want a glass of wine watching the sunset.  I am drinking a Perrier over ice in a wine glass instead.

Golfing with my friends this morning.  Its very hot and humid but I can do it.  Pre WLS this would have killed me.  Taking a few snacks with me plus lots of water at the course

STEPS - 7750

EATS

B - 2 large mugs of coffee

1/2 cup of eggbeaters scrambled with 1 oz cheddar

     1/2 cup of green beans

Good morning all. Work today then biking home for some exercise. Someone just bought me a very laerge coffee. I certainly should be awake today.

I bought some wool last night to start an afghan. I appear to be one short of what I bought and I also shorted myself one. So back to the store to get 2 more balls of wool. This is keeping me from eating.

At work I have moved from an Mac back to a PC. The keyboard difference is making me a lot of typos. I have to keep checking I have not made errors. I hope I get used to it soon

Good morning everyone,

I am back at home after 3 days out of town at a conference. I missed my dh and dog very much! Eating wasn't as scheduled as I would have liked, I had to deal with what was served at events so more fat than I like to eat (cheese, cream, etc). I did stick to protein and veg mostly though.

Tracey you don't post how far out you are.  Just so Newbies know, Tracey is many years post-op.  Wine is not recommended in the first year, if ever, and especially not in the losing stage as it is empty calories and of little nutritional value.
