hi all

looks like I just put my back out, or is my old bones being affected from the crappy weather coming in, but tylonel is not doing anything, so just wondering what other meds I could take. My mother suggested kirklands back and muscle pain from Costco, but not sure what is in it and if could take it. Suppose to be in a year end party at my golf course tomorrow, but not looking like will be swinging a club.

When I put my back out and saw the chiropractor, she suggested putting ice on it. As for meds, there is one of the Robaxacet or something like that that is acetometiphin based (one is acetemetophin, the other is ibuprophin). Tylonal also has a back and muscle pain version. It might give something that regular Tylonal doesn't give.

If you can, try contacting your clinic for other suggestions.

Robaxacet or Tylenol Back Pain have the same ingredients. Your Kirkland brand might be the same. If you can check the ingredient list and it is acetaminophen based then it's fine. Robax makes products with ibuprofen and asa but Robaxacet is the one made with acetaminophen is the one that is safe for sure. They make me really drowsy so you may want to take them long before you have to be somewhere.

CatW says ice -- my Traditional Chinese Medicine folks never use cold, always heat! Do you have time to go for Acupuncture? Soak in epsom salt tub for 29+ mins?

Or a heating pad. My back was out immediately after revision surgery. I was afraid to add anything more to my list of meds so I used heat. Heat is good.

I have arthritis and Voltaren gel really helps with topical pain ... you might consider trying it.
