Just Saying Hi

Hello,

I found this board a few months ago, and have been quietly lurking. I figured it was time to actually join this site and say, "Hi", as it looks like my journey is starting.

I just received my package from the Ottawa Hospital, and am attending an information session in December. I'm excited and nervous as this ball gets rolling. I've never had any surgery other than a bit of dental work, so that aspect has me a bit freaked out. However, I am confident in my decision to persue surgery to finally beat morbid obesity for good.

I had never had surgery before either. I thought it was going to be such a big deal but it wasn't. It's a distant memory and it was only 6 weeks ago. Good luck on your journey!

Congratulations! It'll seem like a long road, but it flies by and before you know it you'll be having surgery.

Welcome! I am going through Ottawa currently as well. So far I've done the orientation and the intake. It's been a long process but it's gone by fast. Hoping your journey flies by as well!
