So I thought it was strange pre-op when we were told that after surgery we would have to take showers and were not allowed to take baths.  I worried about this as I have an old house that only has a bathtub, no shower.  Then when they explained that they don't want you to take a bath because they don't want your wounds to be submerged under water, I thought that was hysterical.  I mean we are all in this for weight loss surgery and I don't know about the rest of you, but my stomach NEVER went under water.  I had to splash the water over my stomach.  Anyway, last night as I was reading in the bathtub, it suddenly occurred to me that my whole body was under the water, and the tub was not even full.  Holy Cow!!!  My stomach was under the water (thankfully my boobs were still above water )!!!!  I am 5 months out and am down 70 pounds.  Woo hoo!!  Life is good!!

The first time I realized that I actually *fit* in the bathtub and wasn't touching on all sides, I started sobbing and called for my boyfriend.  He came racing in, all concerned, asking "What's the matter?  What's wrong?"

That's when I sobbed out "I fit in the bathtub!  I'm soo haaaaaaaaappppyyyyyy!!!"  *cue more hysterical sobbing*

Enjoy those NSVs :D

I love taking baths!! Always have.  My only annoyance now is how much more water it takes to fill the tub ;)
